The Kuma Classic LE-1 is a large steel wood stove. This powerful heater known for its efficiency and high heat output. At up to 82,000 BTUs per hour, the Kuma Classic is regularly used as a primary heat source.
Its 2.5 cubic foot firebox has plenty of room for fuel. The square shape of the firebox allows for log placement in a variety of orientations, which makes loading this stove easy.
The Kuma Classic’s step top design is the ideal spot for a humidifier. The step top can also serve as a back-up way to heat food during power outages.
The Kuma Classic is proudly handmade by a family-owned company in Idaho. With Kuma, quality, heat, and aesthetics go hand-in-hand, and every detail is carefully considered in these craftsman-made stoves!
This product qualifies for the 30% federal Biomass tax credit on the purchase, venting, and installation costs.
design options
The Kuma Classic LE comes standard with a step top, but there are several ways to customize the look. The stove is available in two configurations—legs or pedestal. The pedestal option includes an XL ash pan for simplified ash removal. Legs are available in steel, cast iron, or pewter.
The standard door is Matte Black cast iron, but can be customized with optional Pewter or Stainless Steel.
Optional blowers and heat shields are also available.
