Our process
Mountain Hearth & Patio is unique in that we provide “idea-to-fire” project management services that streamline the process of choosing and installing a new fire appliance. Our mission is to deliver a pleasant and seamless experience from start to finish.
We are not like some fireplace retailers who sell products and then leave you to do everything else: assessing your heating and fuel needs and potential site challenges, measuring, addressing dozens of behind-the-scenes logistics, finding a reputable installer, and supervising the installation.
We are with you every step of the way. Whether your project is new construction or a renovation, we have your back so you can relax and enjoy the process!
Step 1
your dream starts with a vision and our full-service consultation
We work with homeowners as well as architects, designers, and local stonemasons to create the perfect hearth for your home.
Step 1: Consultation. Browse our showroom and give our team a call to discuss your project. Or, take a scenic drive to our fireplace showroom at 7001 Highway 73 in Evergreen where we have 70+ models of fireplaces, stoves, inserts, firepits, doors, mantels, and wall systems on display.
Our knowledgeable consultants will help you choose the appliance type, fuel type, size, heat output, and aesthetic. We’ll address any special considerations for your unique situation. Then, we move on to choosing design elements including finishes, fronts, media, and optional accessories.
Our professional consultation then shifts into project management gear as we take care of the technical aspects of the project! We’ll never leave you guessing about how much heat output or size you need, safety concerns like clearances, venting, gas and electric hookups, existing masonry issues, clearances, accessories such as chimney caps or liners, access, or any of the many other behind-the-scenes elements that go into creating a safe and welcoming hearth. We’ll handle everything!
step 2
from dream to reality with our world-class white glove installation
Every project is unique! Step 1 of our process is a thorough assessment of your needs and desires as well as the existing situation and potential site challenges. This detailed information is documented and passed on to our expert in-house installation team for Step 2: Installation.
Our in-house NFI-Certified specialists (all experts in gas, wood, and pellet installations) will install your unit. We never use sub-contractors and we are licensed, bonded, and insured. Expect our courteous uniformed technicians to treat your home with the utmost respect. We are sticklers about our No-Mess guarantee! Your installation techs will also provide you with instruction on how to use your new fireplace, insert, or stove.
We are a company of true professionals who take great pride in the quality of our installations. In fact, we stand by our installations with a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
We also conduct a post-installation follow-up to make sure you’re 100% happy, troubleshoot any issues, and give you tips on how to get the most value, efficiency, and enjoyment from your new fire appliance.

special considerations
There are a few things we address with every client:
Every situation is different and every home has unique challenges that must be addressed. Installations are rarely as straightforward as they seem! There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, which is why we take extra time to thoroughly assess your situation during the sales consultation so every contingency is resolved by installation day. Examples include the need for a plumber to run a gas line; a crumbling masonry chimney; challenging access; and venting
The high altitude of Colorado affects the way all hearth appliances perform, which makes it even more important to choose the right product and understand how to optimize its efficiency.
If you want style options outside of what we offer, we partner with a number of reputable manufacturers whose products we don’t carry in our showroom - but we can order them for you.
fire mitigation and firewood
Stay tuned! We are in the process of collaborating on a win-win marketplace-type website where foothills homeowners can hire fire mitigation professionals and source inexpensive or even free firewood from homeowners looking to clear their land of combustible materials.
