Year Round Ambience

Electric fireplaces bring the fun with incredible customization options. From a natural look to something completely fresh and modern, you can go from cozy to party and everything in between with a click of the remote!

Easy Installation

Electric fireplaces don’t require venting or gas lines which reduces installation costs. They can be built into nearly any interior or exterior wall or inserted into an existing fireplace for the ultimate in design flexibility.

a choice of Flame Technologies

Electric fireplaces don’t have real flames. They are available in three different flame technologies. One is not “better” than the others. The choice is up to personal preference.

Flicker/kaleidoscope fireplaces use light patterns reflected onto moving mirrors to create the illusion of live flames. They don’t try to be as realistic as LCD or holographic flames. It’s a unique look that’s all about fun! This is the original and most common electric fireplace technology.

LCD (liquid crystal display) flame technology projects recorded video of a fire onto a screen, much like a TV. Some models use video of real flames, some use AI-generated images. It’s a more realistic and dynamic flame experience with more backgrounds and special effects. The level of realism depends on the style of logs used (real or faux), the media, and the selected flame patterns.

Holographic electric fireplaces are the latest technology. They project a flame video onto a physical log set for a multidimensional and hyper-realistic 3D viewing experience where the flames appear to come from between or behind the logs.

This Regency Atmosphere Ei29 Electric Fireplace was installed in a formerly unused drafty fireplace to bring year-round ambience to the homeowner.

Great Design Options

Choose from a trendy linear look, or opt for a more traditional fireplace style. Some models are available as front-view only. Others come with installation kits that allow for installation as front view, or with one corner exposed, or with a three-sided viewing area. Next, customize the look with a framed or frameless fireplace and various media (faux or real logs, glass or pebbles, or a combination for a custom look. Some also feature lighting within the fireplace to bump up the drama.

Fun Effects

Changing flame styles and colors is part of the fun. Maybe you’re in a blue mood or just want more subtle flames so you can enjoy a full moon. At the touch of a button, your flames and the media turn blue. Or green. Or purple. Or pink. Or red. Or maybe they cycle through the entire rainbow!

Some electric fireplaces feature a realistic crackling sound and even sparks and “smoke” that adds to the realism - unlike gas fireplaces that lack that wonderful crackle and pop of a real wood fire.

Low Maintenance

Electric fireplaces require virtually no maintenance: just occasional dusting and glass cleaning.

Safety

Electric fireplaces are great for households with kids. While the top can get hot if the heater is on, the viewing area - the part most enticing to the little ones - remains cool to the touch. They can be safely installed under TVs with minimal clearances and they can be installed directly into combustible materials like drywall or built-in cabinetry.

Supplemental Heat

Electric fireplaces are not intended as primary heat sources but they do have on-demand heaters that take the chill off a room with a modest 5,000 BTUs.

The heater is independent from the flame display! You can run the heater anytime, or turn it off completely to enjoy the flames even in the dog days of August.

Electric fireplaces are also zero-emissions so they won’t affect your home’s air quality!

Choosing an Electric Fireplace

Here’s what to discuss with our design team:

  • Where do you want the fireplace? How much space do you have? This dictates the size/shape of the fireplace, including the depth of the engine.

  • Do you want one, two, or three-sided viewing?

  • Do you want a framed or frameless design?

  • What flame styles do you prefer: realistic, funky, or a little of both? This influences your choice of flame technology.

  • What is your budget?

We recommend avoiding electric fireplaces sold at big box stores. They use outdated flame technology, there’s little or no quality control, poor warranties, you have to find a third party installer, and there’s no customer service.

We do things differently. We work with manufacturers who have developed the best flame technology, we install what we sell, and we always have your back with responsive customer service.
