Fireplace Accessories & Upgrades
Update your hearth with gas log sets, custom doors, mantels, and wall panel systems to create a stunning focal point in your home!
Gas log sets
Unlike gas inserts, which have a sealed firebox, gas logs are an open-faced appliance designed to be decorative instead of heat-producing. They come in a variety of standard sizes, so your fireplace can be transformed no matter how large or small. Gas log sets are easily operated manually with a wall switch, or on a remote control.
Why Choose Gas Log Sets?
You want ambience without the heat
Works with propane or natural gas
A variety of log styles to match your aesthetic
A simple facelift for your fireplace
Our favorite gas log sets are the Hargrove Radiant Heat series, which provides some heat to the room while the logs are running. These gas log sets can look unburnt or more charred, in several species of trees!
Commonly, our customers will update their fireplace doors when getting a gas log set for a complete fireplace facelift, without any messy demo!
FIREPLACE DOORS
Fireplace doors consist of metal frames with glass panes to cover the front opening in a wood fireplace. They can be installed on either a traditional masonry fireplace or on a factory-built fireplace. In our showroom, we display twelve sets of fireplace doors from Stoll and Iron Haus.
Why Upgrade Your Fireplace Doors?
Safety and aesthetics for log sets
Each set of doors is custom-made! Select from a wide variety of options including the shape of the doors and frame, bifold or cabinet style doors, metal finish colors or hammering, glass tints, handles, optional screens, dampers, air-seals, and more! We’ll take care of the measurements to ensure a perfect fit!
MANTELS
Mantels can either be a ‘full mantel’ with side legs and a shelf, or a ‘shelf mantel’ without side legs. Shelf mantels are much more common. We display at least eight in our Showroom. Shelf mantels are available in three categories: wooden, metal, and concrete. Wood mantels are considered a combustible material, and must adhere to the manufacturer’s height specifications above the fireplace. Metal and concrete mantels are much more common since they are non-combustible and therefore allow more design flexibility with closer clearances to the fireplace. If you want to install a TV above your fireplace, a non-combustible mantel is the way to go.
Why Upgrade Your Mantel?
A quick and easy facelift for any hearth: fireplace, insert, or stove!
A place for your stuff, from TVs to family mementos
Transforms a “blah” hearth into a stunning focal point.
Today’s building codes are much stricter. Concrete mantels meet all non-combustible clearance requirements whether you’re burning wood or gas, giving you many more design options for your hearth.
Our non-combustible metal and concrete mantels come from two USA-made manufacturers: Steel mantels from Stoll Industries have multiple heights and widths and are available in dozens of colors to achieve either a modern or a rustic appearance. Concrete mantels from Magra Hearth have the appearance of wood beams (molded from real barn wood!) or chiseled stone.
